10 books added to the books published section:

Susanin, Timothy: Walt before Mickey: Disney's Early Years, 1919-1928 published by University Press of Mississippi; 2011.
One of the best Disney history books of the last decade. Not to be missed in any way, shape or form.

Logan, Ron: Walt Disney Entertainment, A Retrospective Look (1955 - 2000) published by University of Central Florida; 2001.
The "book" has been released as support material for a course that Professor Logan teaches at University of Central Florida. It offers a very interesting history of Disney's live entertainment in the parks, through Logan's and some of his colleagues' recollections. If you decide to order it, it will reach you as 144 not-bound pages (As mentioned it really is seen by Logan as support material for his course, not as a book - although that's what it really is after you bind it).

Webb, Graham: Animated Film Encyclopedia: A Complete Guide to American Shorts, Features, And Sequences, 1900-1979 published by McFarland & Company; 2006.
The tool I had been looking for for years: a place where one can find detailed credits of all the Disney shorts (or at least all the shorts created for general release), including most or all of the animators who worked on each short, the layout artists, the story men, etc!

Harper, John L.: Mineral King: Public concern with government policy published by Pacifica Pub. Co; 1982.
Very serious Disney-related history at its best.

Huddleston, Robert: Edmundo published by Virtualbookworm.com Publishing; 2007.

Castagno, Paolo: Don Rosa - A Little Something Special published by Il Papersera; 2011.
If you enjoy Don Rosa comic books (and if you don't it's certainly because you have never read any of them yet), then this new book edited by Paolo Castagno (in Italian and English) is probably for you. Paolo has gathered the very best historians of Disney comics for this volume, which will probably become a "must have."

Pedersen, R.A.: The Epcot Explorer's Encyclopedia: A guide to the flora, fauna, and fun of the world's greatest theme park! published by CreateSpace; 2011.
Pretty well done.

Barrett, Amanda: Disney Nature: African Cats: The Story Behind the Film published by Disney Editions; 2011.
The text is well-written. It is beautifully illustrated. It feels like a very long issue of National Geographic. My only reservation is the fact that it does not feature any image about the making of the movie. In other words no photos of men and women actually shooting it. And no words about pre-production work.

Blasser Riley, Gail: Wah Ming Chang: Artist and Master of Special Effects published by Enslow Publishers; 1995.
Although this book is aimed at kids, it contains a few good bits and pieces about former Disney Character Model Department artist Wah Ming Chang.

If you have the book by Jason Surrell about the Haunted Mansion, this one is not really necessary.

Volume 1 was excellent, this one is too.

Jones, Angie; Oliff, Jamie: Thinking Animation - Bridging the Path Between 2D and CG published by Course Technology PTR; 2006.
A bit technical, but the number of former or current Disney artists contributing to it (Eric Goldberg, Floyd Norman, Tony Bancroft,...) make it worthwhile for readers that are not also animators.

Leydier, Richard (editor): Mickey dans tous ses Etats published by Hotel Dassault; 2006.

Tytla, Adrienne: Disney´s Giant and the Artist´s Model published by Adrienne Tytla; 2005.
Part biography of Bill Tytla by his wife, part scrapbook book, this huge book (about 1000 pages) is extremely difficult to classify or to explain. Let´s just say that Disney historians had been awaiting this document for years and that it will not disapoint them. Let´s add that, because of its high price ($165) and its very specific focus (Bill Tytla) it is advised that only the most serious Disney historians buy it To do so, send an email to Howard Green.

Fanning, Jim: Cinderella - A Dream Come True published by Disney Editions; 2005.
This book is part of the special DVD set released in 2005. It deserves to figure in this list as it features a nice little section about the making of Cinderella, including a few interesting documents and quotes.

Monique's "making-of" books are always enjoyable reads. This one is no exception.

Wright, Alex: The Imagineering Field Guide to the Magic Kingdom published by Disney Editions; 2005.
A pocket sized book chock full of design details, anecdotes, and trivia about WDW's Magic Kingdom. Wright goal was to create a book that would be just like walking through the Magic Kingdom with an Imagineer. An excellent book.

Bourguignon, Philippe: Hop! published by Editions Anne Carriere; 2005.
The Memoirs of the former CEO of Euro Disney. Too slim and shallow, unfortunately. Avaialble only in French.

A reference as important to collectors as the Tomart´s Disneyana.

Earle, Eyvind: Horizon Bound on a Bicycle - The Autobiography of Eyvind Earle published by Eyvind Earle; 1991.
