Written in Italian, this book is the best ever published about Disney's Italian comic book
productions. All the artists, all the characters are described after the history of the
creative studios and activities. The authors, including Alberto Becattini who wrote the
various indexes at the end of the book, are the utmost authorities in terms of Italian and
inernational comics.

will probably never be republished.

cinema geniuses. The thinking is often odd but not totally uninteresting. This essay has

A non-illustrated list of the pages of Barks art that survived destruction with a history

One of the worst biographies of Walt. The author has shamefully borrowed from the studies
of Bob Thomas and some other great biographers to build an uninteresting, badly written
text, that even contains a few mistakes. No primary research has been done. No attention
has been given to this book. None should be. Written in French.

The author of the best art book ever published on a Disney movie, Pinocchio, has created
an other masterpiece. The book is 300 pages long, contains 433 color documents and has an
introduction by Roy Disney. There is no limited edition as for the Pinocchio volume, but
all copies of the French book are sold in book-cases.Written in French with an English
edition published in December by Hyperion that does not contain a bookcase.

This is a book that marked the history of Disney books. It is by far the most lavish, the
most glossy, in short the most beautiful ever published about a Disney movie. Granted, the
text is short but the artwork is so gorgeous that it does not matter at all. This book was
originally published in French. The French edition can be found in two versions: the
regular one as well as a limited edition (450 copies, leather-bound binding in a hard
slipcase, complete with a beautiful high-quality litho). The English version was published
in 1997 by Hyperion.

This strange book contains some text about Walt and his creation, but its core is a
collection of oddly matched comics stories that include among other jewels: The Youth of
Donald Duck by Marco Rota and the Youth of Walt Disney. Written in French.

The best history ever published of Le Journal de Mickey by its former editor, the ultimate
historian of French Disney comics. For non-French speakers the illustrations still make it
worthwhile.

This beautiful "white book" contains the best episodes of the famous French
comics series "Mickey Through the Centuries" drawn for more than 25 years by the
fantastic French artist Pierre Nicolas (also author of the famous Paris Match cover drawn
for Walt's death). The introduction by Michel Mandry in itself makes buying the book a
very worthwhile move. Written in French.

A nice analysis of the progression of Barks work techniques in the last part of his

An hommage to Donald Duck by all of the most famous Italian comic book artists
published for the 50th birthday of the Duck. The works are surprising, often extremely

This little booklet was written (in French) as an homage to Walt, just a few months after
his death. This biography is rather uninteresting, though.

A strange biography that is mostly the result of a meeting of Walt by Mrs. Poncet in the
mid-'50s. Only the part about Disney in France in the '50s and '60s is really new. This
represents only a very small portion of the book, though.
